Memorial Message:
I was extremely saddened to see that Mike (Joseph Michael Elliott) passed away in 2007. I first met him in 3rd grade. At first, I thought he was a bit strange, talking about building computers all the time, but after I got to know him better, I found I really liked him, and we became friends. I admired his intelligence, his ability to grasp very complex concepts, and his genuineness.
We lost touch after college, Rice for him and TAMU for me. I'd heard he went into the Navy and that he got married.
I wish we'd kept in touch, and there's so very much I wish I'd shared with him. Perhaps it would have made a difference; perhaps it wouldn't, but I know I'd feel better if I had tried.
I will miss you, Mike. I wish I was sure I will see you on the other side. You were very special to me...
